IR-Related Courses

Studying international relations at the University of Toronto is an interdisciplinary process that can be approached from a wide range of perspectives! Below is a list of IR-related courses offered at different levels, broken down by geographical regions, to help you navigate the long course-lists on the calendar and timetable!

This is not the official list of program requirements. These are only suggestions of courses with different geographical focuses. You must consult the Calendar, Degree Explorer, or the IR Program on your official program requirements.

Note: Some of these courses do NOT count towards the IR program and are simply related to the field of global affairs. This list is a constant work in progress and may have missed some important courses. If you spot an omission, please contact us!

The Global/International category includes courses that either cover a wide range of regions or allow students the freedom to select a specific perspective or regional focus.
